March 2012 :: Navy and Lime Mitered Squares

I loved this square-in-square pattern so much that I had to make another quilt using the same limey fabrics with a new set of navy materials:
Here are some process photos about how easy this pattern is to put together:
Each set of lime-navy strips becomes 4 triangles that combine into 2 squares - 1 with navy on the outside, 1 with lime on the outside:
Lime and navy! All done!
I used the leftover slices of blue-green pairs to make alternating trim for a little minky blanket too:

January 2012 :: Baby Girl Blanket

I love this multi-color zoo animal print fabric and the corresponding single-color prints. I found some solid color fabrics to help divide up all of the prints.
I had planned the square size (in SolidWorks, of course) but it came out much bigger than I had pictured--almost 6' square! I guess that this will be more of a toddler blanket than a baby blanket!

Back of the quilt--in flannel prints:
Fun little orange fins between the printed flannel:

December 2011 :: Baby Body Pillow and Minky Blanket

This "Zoo Menagerie" colorful whale fabric is just too cute, so I had to use it for a little pillow and as the edging of a little Minky blanket. I still just can't get enough of this bias tape folder!

Here's a little zipper-flap flair:
